TEDxDelft 2013 | The people behind TEDxDelft – Speaker liaison: Sheraz Kazmi
Can you tell us something about yourself?
I’m a 27-year old sports, music, food, and family lover and live in The Hague. Together with my ‘brother-from-the-same-mother’ we form an entrepreneurial powerhouse. We develop purposeful concepts at Kazmi & Kazmi. We work closely together with (like-minded) talents from various backgrounds (creatives, trainers, entrepreneurs) and all over the world.
What’s your job at TEDxDelft?
In 2012 we opened Hills & Mills in Delft. A pure food café that we established for our dad to exploit as this was his life-long dream. Ever since we landed in Delft I was grabbed by the vibe that Delft breathes. In 2013 a friend of me introduced me to TEDxDelft. I started as ‘speaker liaison’ and also assist in solving marketing challenges.
What’s your favorite TED(x)talk?
My favorite TED-talk is ‘The key to success? Grit’ from Angela Lee Duckworth. A short, but powerful talk about a major predictor of success in life: grit (i.e. stamina).
What’s your idea worth spreading?
’The purpose of life is a life of purpose.’As a person and as an entrepreneur my credo is to live purposeful, but also lead by example and activate other like-minded people. I want to help people discover their passion and power, and empower them to live purposeful while making a fair amount of money.
Which keywords define you as a person?
