TEDxDelft team – Ginny Ruiter
Can you tell us something about yourself?
My name is Ginny Ruiter, 41 years old, single, no kids. Born in South America and raised in The Hague and its surrounding cities. I have been working as a secretary/personal assistant for several companies.
In 2006 I started working for Delft University of Technology as the assistant of the President of the Executive Board. In 2009 I got the great opportunity to change jobs and started working for the Marketing & Communications department. Together with three colleagues I am responsible for all major events organised by TU Delft.
What’s your job at TEDxDelft?
Within TEDxDelft I am responsible for all logistics (traffic, location, WiFi, print work), decorations and catering.
For me personally, TEDxDelft is a success when me and my team manage to make all our guests feel welcome, we do not encounter problems logging on to our WiFi network and our live streaming works flawless.
What’s your favorite TED(x)talk?
My favorite talks are those who inspire people to make the best of their lives and how to reach that. And the funny and creative ones. These four links are not my most favorite, but they made me feel good.
- Eric Whitacre: a virtual choir 2000 voices strong
- Stefan Sagmeiste: 7 rules for making more happiness
- Steve Jobs: How to live before you die
- Ursus Wehrli tidies up art
